PROJECT: ADOPT A CHILD!
Project
"Adopt a Child" is a way that Kid's Place has arranged to
raise funds to resolve the financial economical situation of the
institution. Since the death of the founder Mrs. Abigail Mesquita, KID'S
PLACE, has been struggling in several ways to get people and entities
involved to help maintain the continuance of its activities.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to retain long term contributions,
participation and help. This causes several problems in the management
of this ministry, which includes maintenance of the children, with food,
hygiene etc., to the payment of salaries for the employees which depend
completely on the good will of our collaborators. Every month there is
the same question over our heads. Will there be enough funds to pay all
the bills? With these difficulties, it is a challenge to continue in
this way. By adopting children, our hope is to ease this challenge.
This project consists mainly of a financial adoption of one to four
children. The church or organization would contribute with $50.00 per
child adopted, since the cost to support a child in this Project is a
little over that amount. KlD'S PLACE will send receipts valid for IRS
purposes for the contributions made and will also send periodical
reports on how the child is doing, in school and daily living.
